World-renowned Dutch DJ and electronic music producer Dyro chatted about Lucid,” and his new music.

‘Lucid’

On his track “Lucid,” Dyro said, “It’s actually a vocal that I had been working on years back. Very happy with the form it finally came out in, think it turned into something very cool.”

Music and songwriting inspirations

Regarding his music and songwriting inspirations, he said, “I definitely get a lot of inspiration from my gigs! It’s a great feeling to be back out on the road, testing new tracks and seeing the response.”

“I’m my own worst critic, so everything I’m not happy with when having tested a track on the floor puts me right back into the studio perfecting it until I’m happy,” he said.

The digital age

On being an artist in the digital age, now with streaming, technology and social media being so prevalent, he said, “It’s been great to keep some kind of connection going in these recent years, but to be honest, it just made me realize more that there’s nothing like really performing live and connecting with fans while they’re out there on the floor together with you.”

Future plans

Regarding his plans for the future, Dyro revealed, “A lot more music and a lot more touring, hopefully.”

Advice for hopefuls in music

For young and aspiring musicians and producers, Dyro said, “Keep pushing your own boundaries. There’s always room to grow and learn. You have to stay hungry for that.”

Career-defining moments

When asked about his career-defining moments, he responded, “So many. From getting my initial support to hitting the youngest highest new entry in the DJ Mag Top 100.”

“I think all highlights definitely leave a forming impact,” he admitted. “Having had the absence of gigs in recent years have made me explore more in the studio, which I think has kept me experimenting more with different sounds which is probably something you’ll recognize in my upcoming tracks.”

Dream collaboration choices in music

On his dream collaboration choices in music, Dyro shared, “Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish for sure. Love their modern approach to songwriting. I also love Kah-Lo.”

Success

Dyro defined the word success as contentment in his life. “Ultimately success is being happy, isn’t it?” he said.

Fans

For his fans, he concluded about his new music, “I want them to get whatever they want from it. I think that’s the magic, a song can mean a thousand things. I just hope they’ll like the stuff I’m working on right now.”
