Actor Drew Seeley chatted about starring in the film “My Boss’ Wedding” on Great American Family.

This movie, directed by Andrew Cymek and written by Patrick McBrearty, is a part of the Great American Family network’s first Autumn Harvest programming event. “My Boss’ Wedding” will premiere on Saturday, October 15 at 8 p.m. EST.

On being a part of this film, he said, “It was great. It was kind of a trip. We shot a lot of the film in the town I grew up in when I was a child. One of the scenes was shot literally one block from my old elementary school in Canada. It was fun to go back home to revisit that.”

“I actually wrote two songs for this movie that I play in this film. I try to get my music in when I can,” he added.

Seeley stars as Michael opposite Holly Deveaux, who plays Nicole Watters. In “My Boss’ Wedding,’ sparks fly when a personal assistant plans her boss’s wedding with the groom’s handsome nephew. “I liked that my character is an optimistic guy, he is a good foil to Holly’s character,” he said. “I think his enthusiasm was fun to find and to bring to the set each day. There is a lot of my real personality in that character.”

“Holly is the best, she has such great energy and we have good chemistry in this. I hope people enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it. This movie is a couple of hours of feel-good TV,” he added.

On being an actor in the digital age, Seeley said, “It’s a brave new world. There are so many more outlets than when I first started acting 20 years ago. I think it’s an exciting time. There are so many more important and diverse stories that are being told. It’s exciting because things are going in the right direction.”

Seeley had great words working with master photographer Bjoern Kommerell. “It was great to work with him. It was fun, we had a really good time,” he said.

He also had wonderful words about fellow actress Jaycie Dotin and he praised her for being a talented actress.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Seeley said, “The Juggling Man.” “I have a three-year-old daughter, who is the absolute love of my life,” he said. “Getting to spend time with her and watch her grow during the pandemic was the silver lining.”

If he were to have any superpower, he revealed that it would be “teleportation.” “Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and with teleportation, I would be able to do that without dealing with a 13-hour plane ride,” he said. “Zip me and zap me to all of the amazing places of the world.”

When asked what he would go on “The Masked Singer” as if he were given a chance, he responded, “It would be a mixture of a Ninja Turtle and Inspector Gadget.”

His favorite mottos include the following” “Don’t make your work your life, have other interests outside of it” and “run your own race.” “We end every day (with our daughter) saying what we are grateful for at dinner,” he said. “Our daughter helps bring my wife and I back to reality and that’s a real gift.”

On his definition of the word success, Seeley said, “Being able to make a living doing what you love to do.”
