Dolly Parton has renewed her wedding vows with Carl Dean

Parton and Dean had tied the knot back on May 30, 1966. They renewed their vows in a private ceremony that was held in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of their golden wedding anniversary.

“If I had it to do all over, I’d do it all over again, and we did,” Dolly Parton remarked in a press release. “I’m dragging him kicking and screaming into the next 50 years. Wish us luck,” she added.

Most impressive about Carl Dean is that he has stayed out of the spotlight for many years, but soon, he will be seen by all. Aside for being photographed, where the proceeds will go to children’s charities, Dean agreed to do his first interview. In this exclusive interview, fans have submitted their questions, and Parton has asked the questions on their behalf.

Dean’s interview is going to be released in conjunction with their renewal ceremony photos. Dean noted in a press statement that his first thought was that he was going to “marry that girl,” ever since the first time he laid eyes on Parton at the Wishy Washy Laundromat. He also thought that she was “good looking,” and he claimed that on that day his “life began.”

Most recently, Parton kicked off her “Pure & Simple Tour,” which is her largest North American tour in over two decades. Just a week after Parton announced the first leg, many shows have been sold out. On June 25, the country mega-star will be making a stop at Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, New York.
