Delayers discuss electronic dance music, Tiesto, David Guetta

When asked what they love most about EDM, they said, “I think the best thing is the energy of the music, and the fact that every producer can express themselves in many different ways – there are so many genres that fall into EDM.”

Throughout their career, they have collaborated with such EDM greats as Tiesto and David Guetta. “It was amazing – the best feeling ever! We worked together with Tiesto on a collaboration and were in direct contact with him. He’s someone we respect so much in the industry, it was incredible. He is such a nice guy,” they said.

They added, “David Guetta signed us up to remix his track ‘Play Hard’ and we just couldn’t believe it… the day before we had been struggling to find a vocal to work with and then he contacted us and we we’re suddenly working on an Akon and Neyo acapella! Incredible.”

Delayers have also received support from DJ Snake and Dillon Francis. “It’s a funny story about Dillon Francis actually! He played one of our tracks called ‘Triangle,’ but he didn’t now that the track was ours as we had sent it to him as an ID. We thanked him on Twitter for the play and he immediately followed us and had a chat in DM. It was awesome we nearly had a heart attack,” they exclaimed. “With DJ Snake it was slightly different, we did a flip of ‘Propaganda’ and we really tried to reach out to him for a while about it and then one day he got back to us saying our flip was super-cool! So that was pretty amazing as well.”

On the song selection process for “Let It Go” and “She Bad,” they said, “It was just really natural, we had wanted to try something a bit more poppy and immediately ‘Let It Go’ just developed. We tried to be as soft as we could be with it. The selection and production of ‘She Bad’ was all pretty instantaneous! The track was there in about two hours. It was super spontaneous, we did it on the road on our laptop.”

Regarding their plans for 2016, they said, “To release new songs with a new twist, every time. To deliver positivity and also hopefully lots of touring.”

For their fans, they concluded, “Thanks to everyone that has followed and supported us since day one. We hope that you love our new music as much as we do.”
