Their wedding ceremony took place near the ocean on January 8 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Straub wore a custom-designed gown by designer Johnathan Kayne, past finalist of Bravo’s Project Runway Season 3. Dee Jay Silver wore a Vera Wang suit.
The newly-wed couple remarked in a press statement, “It was the most wonderful day with our closest friends and family.”
They added, “Everything was just perfect. We feel so blessed and are looking forward to our next chapter together as husband and wife.”
Silver and Straub kept their guest-list to 60 of their closest friends, which included country superstar Jason Aldean and his fiancee Brittany Kerr, among others.
The acclaimed country DJ will be touring with Aldean on the 2015 leg of his “Burn It Down” tour, where he will be joined by such special musical guests as Cole Swindell and Tyler Farr.
His Country Club EP was well-received by Digital Journal. It includes remixes on such country hits as Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight,” Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” incorporated as a medley with Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs” and Love and Theft’s signature song “Angel Eyes.”
Last year, Silver toured with country superstar Brad Paisley on his “Beat This Winter” tour, and one of the shows they played together was at New York’s Nassau Coliseum.
