deadmau5 to score the upcoming Netflix film ‘Polar’

His career accolades include record-breaking sold-out concerts, platinum-selling releases, as well as major music award wins. deadmau5 is adding to his ever-growing list of accomplishments with his first-ever film score for Polar, which will be released in the following year.

Swedish director and drummer Jonas Åkerlund directed the film, whose screenplay was written by Jayson Rothwell. It is based on the graphic novel, Polar: Came From the Cold, written by Victor Santos.

Polar stars such distinguished actors as Mads Mikkelsen in the lead role as Duncan Vizla (the world’s top assassin), Vanessa Hudgens, Katheryn Winnick, and Matt Lucas, among others. It is produced by Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt and Hartley Gorenstein; moreover, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment and Mads Mikkelsen and Martin Moszkowicz of Constantin Film will serve as executive producers.

Polar will be released globally via Netflix in 2019, with the exception of Canada, Germany and China, where Constantin Film will handle the movie’s distribution.
