David Cook raises over $1 million for Race for Hope

This was for brain tumor research, in honor of his late brother. There were thousands of fans and participants, many of which were survivors and volunteers. The proceeds went towards the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2).

Cook is an honorary chair of the “Race for Hope.” The Season 7 American Idol winner’s “Team for a Cure” raised over $92,000.

The rock singer-songwriter played a benefit concert for his fans, and he subsequently participated in other fundraising efforts during that weekend, proving that his heart is just as big as his talent.

As Digital Journal reported, Cook is back with his new lyric video for his “Wait For Me” single.
