Dan Tyminski inks new record deal, to release solo project

Tyminski is best known as the singing voice of George Clooney (“A Man of Constant Sorrow”) in the hit motion picture film O Brother, Where Art Thou? in 2000. In addition, he was the voice behind Avicii’s smash electronic dance music single “Hey Brother.” He has won 14 Grammy awards in his own right.

His forthcoming studio album is entitled Southern Gothic, and he will release it under the moniker Tyminski. Jesse Frasure served as producer of this project, who has worked with such artists as Meghan Trainor and Florida Georgia Line.

Tyminski co-wrote all 13 tracks on this solo debut record, which is coming out later this year via Mercury Nashville. This album can be best described as an “American quilt of music.”

Particularly impressive about Tyminski is that he has been a member of the award-winning bluegrass group Alison Krauss + Union Station for 25 years.
