Country star Joe Nichols pays tribute to Joey + Rory (Includes interview)

Nichols remarked, “What a love story! It breaks my heart to see what is happening to them, but at the same time, it really makes me and my wife think about what love is. Boy, if there is ever a couple that you want to model your love after, this is it.”

Joey Feek from the duo Joey + Rory passed away on March 4, 2016, at the age of 40. Their latest inspirational album, Hymns, topped the Billboard Top Country Albums charts. Many other country singers have also paid their respects, and offered moving tributes to the memory of Joey, including Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley.

This April, Joey + Rory are nominated for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) award for “Top Vocal Duo of the Year.”
