Leatherwood Distillery
He opened up about his partnership with Leatherwood Distillery. “I’m so excited to be working with Andy Lang and the folks at Leatherwood Distillery on this project. Andy Lang is a special forces veteran, and we will never know what all those guys had to endure while serving our country,” he said.
“Helping raise money and awareness for veterans and military organizations is something I feel very passionate about and it is truly an honor to have an opportunity to work with them. Leatherwood Distillery is making 2021 bottles of Darryl Worley Bourbon, Darryl Worley Rye Whiskey, and Darryl Worley Sweet Feed Whiskey as well as 2021 bottles of Have You Forgotten Darryl Worley Moonshine,” he said.
This spirits line will help raise money for military and veteran organizations. “The proceeds from the limited edition bottles are benefitting Charlie Daniels Journey Home Project, Special Forces Association Chapter 38, and Special Operators Transition Foundation,” he said.
Future plans
On his plans for the future, Worley said, “Throughout the rest of this year I will be releasing songs from the 22 EP. This project is a collection of songs put together to tell a story and raise awareness on the plight of our servicemen and women in various facets of their careers but the overall guiding mission is to shine a light on veteran suicide.”
Worley continued, “Sales of the songs and the complete EP will go to charities like Wounded Warriors and others that support causes beneficial to veterans. This Friday, Sept 10, two more songs will be released, ‘She’s Everything To Me’ and a special acoustic version of ‘Have You Forgotten?'”
His No. 1 country single “Have You Forgotten?” is over 18 years old and its message is as relevant today as when you first released it. “When Wynn and I wrote ‘Have You Forgotten?,’ we were trying to put a pro-America, pro-military message out there that we felt in our hearts needed to be said. And to me, it’s that pro-America, pro-military message that makes it just as relevant today,” he said.
For his fans, Worley concluded, “Supporting veteran-owned and veteran-operated businesses is so important and along with that, you’re also benefiting organizations that do a lot to help our men and women that serve this country so make sure you go check it out.”
