Actor Conor Merrigan Turner discusses being a part of the new Peacock series “Apples Never Fall,” which will premiere on March 14.

He plays the role of Logan Delaney. His co-stars include Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Alison Brie, Georgia Flood, and Jake Lacy, among others.

‘Apples Never Fall’

On being a part of the mystery series “Apples Never Fall,” Turner said, “It was wonderful and amazing. Having such a great story, novel, and a new adaptation with an incredible cast was such a pleasure.”

Turner noted that he loved the book of the same name, which was written by Liane Moriarty. “It was beautiful work,” he admitted.

Turner on inhibiting the role of Logan

Turner remarked that “there was a tenderness and sensitivity to Logan.”

“That was something that I really enjoyed playing with and seeing how that sensitivity came across his other siblings, his parents, and his loved ones around him. I think I was really drawn to that,” he explained.

Working with Annette Bening

“It was remarkable working with Annette, who is absolutely remarkable on and off-screen,” Turner exclaimed. “It was just a blessing; it was amazing.”

The digital age

On being an actor in the digital age, Turner said, “For me, I feel similar, but I think technology is developing faster than we’ve anticipated. It also allows opportunities for more people to reach content and there is more accessibility to the work, and that has just skyrocketed,” he said.

“That also comes with accessibility for studios to make more work and for audiences to find work that fits into their specific interests that they have accumulated, and they can really tap into that,” Turner observed.

“That is one of the benefits of studios and streaming platforms making their own work now that there is so much out there,” he added.

Advice for young and aspiring actors

Turner’s advice for young and aspiring actors is simple, short, and sweet: “Keep at it.”

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Turner responded, “Conor has the answer.”

“No, absolutely not. I’m clueless,” he clarified. “I am just trying. I’ve been trying for so long and really making an effort, and now, it’s sort of working,” he explained.

Closing thoughts on ‘Apples Never Fall’

Turner remarked about the new mystery series “Apples Never Fall,” “Take care of the ones around you because you don’t know what is going to happen. Call your mom, dad, friends, and your loved ones… and if you don’t, call me.”
