The nationwide covert training exercise taking place this summer in the United States has seemingly got the attention of everyone. The training exercise is taking place in a four fractions of the U.S. military and it is said to train military personnel how to handle citizens and unforeseen situations if martial law were to be imposed. Situations like national disasters and mass break outs of illnesses are just some of the reason the military training could come into play. But whistle blowers and conspiracy theorists are concerned that a more covert operation is taking place. More and more citizens have also shown concern regarding the lack of information being released regarding the training mission. Even the governor of Texas has asked his own state guard to monitor the training operations in Texas.
Now it seems celebrities are expressing their opinions on the elusive Jade Helm mission. According to a news article released by the Houston Chronicle, opinions from celebrities have crossed both sides of the spectrum. Chuck Norris, famed martial artist and star of the television show ‘Texas Ranger’ was quoted saying;
“If you haven’t heard about Jade Helm, you need to.”
Norris then went into further detail in his Op-Ed article published on the independent news network WND.COM
“It’s neither over-reactionary nor conspiratorial to call into question or ask for transparency about Jade Helm 15 or any other government activity. To those who merely think we should check our brains at the door of the White House and trust what the government does, I would reiterate to you the words of one of our government’s primary founders, Benjamin Franklin, who said, ‘Distrust and caution are the parents of security.”
While Chuck Norris expresses concern about the Jade Helm operation, Jon Stewart expressed a different opinion. On Stewart’s television show, The Daily Show, Stewart made comical remarks and expressed his opinion regarding the media gambit of Jade Helm. Stewart went as far as to call Governor Abbot’s actions adorable.
“It’s like a little dog growling at a big dog, or an eight-year-old picking a fight with the Predator. You know who’s calling it ‘Texas Takeover? Lonestar lunatics. Dallas dip[expletive]. Houston [expletive]holes. Texas–there is no Texas takeover. The United States government already controls Texas. Since like the 1840s. Just borrow a textbook from a neighboring state. It’s all in there.”
While both celebrities have clearly different opinions on the situation of Jade Helm, American citizens are left with questioning. No federal statements have been made public regarding Jade Helm and it continues to be a hush-hush operation.
