Christopher Sean talks about the SAG-AFTRA strike and new comic book

Actor Christopher Sean (“Days of Our Lives”) chatted about the SAG-AFTRA strike, and his latest projects, which will include a new comic book.

Actor Christopher Sean (“Days of Our Lives”) chatted about the SAG-AFTRA strike, and his latest projects, which will include a new comic book.

He is known for playing the role of Paul Narita on the Peacock soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” and his character also appeared in the “Beyond Salem” limited series, which also aired on Peacock.

Sean also played Bing Lee in the web series “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries,” and he is known for his recurring role as Gabriel Waincroft on CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0.” He gained recognition for his lead voice over role as Kazuda Xiono in “Star Wars Resistance” and his recurring role as Brandon in the series “You” on Netflix.

New comic book in the works

“On October 3rd, Laneya and I are being published with DC for the Halloween Anthology: Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun,” he said. “With the strike going on, this is the only thing I can talk about at the moment.”

Future plans

“I have a lot of projects coming out and being announced soon,” he foreshadowed. “Next year, is going to be epic for me.”

In the future, Sean shared that he would love to work with some “famous Japanese-American” and “Asian-American” actors in general; moreover, he wants to work with Oscar nominees, especially to see their work ethic and mindset in action.

SAG-AFTRA strike

Sean also shared his thoughts on the current SAG-AFTRA strike. “The strike is absolutely mandatory,” he said. “We are at a crossroads now with AI and if we don’t solidify boundaries now we won’t have futures as entertainers. The solidarity is amazing.”

Proudest professional moments

On his proudest professional moments thus far, he revealed, “Working with ‘Days of Our Lives,’ ‘Hawaii Five-0,’ ‘Star Wars,’ DC, ‘You’ on Netflix and getting published as an author… It has been a joyous adventure and I can’t wait to share all the new projects I’ve been working on.”

Advice for hopefuls in acting

For young and aspiring actors, he said, “It’s all about tenacity optimism and structuring a plan that is adaptable. Never give up, push through when it’s easy and difficult. Remember your dream and why you began.”

Success

On his definition of the word success, Sean said, “It’s about accomplishing goals and setting new ones that not only help yourself but your community and futures to come.”
