Canadian actor Christopher Russell chatted about being a part of the film “Love on Fire,” which premiered on Sunday, July 10 on UPtv.

On Sunday, July 31, Russell participated in a virtual fan event for Star Image Entertainment, which was well-received. The proceeds will go to Cedars CanSupport for cancer patients and their families.

The synopsis of “Love on Fire” is as follows: After moving into her new home, Gia Summers (Tegan Moss) soon forms an unexpected friendship with her neighbor, firefighter, and single father Jim Dunlap (Devon Alexander), whose love for barbecuing is equaled only by Gia’s passion for cooking.

On being a part of the movie “Love on Fire,” Russell said, “This movie came to fruition when we were making the most recent movie ‘Warming Up to You,’ where Devon Alexander was playing my agent. We thought it would be a good idea to do a buddy comedy together and then Christie Will Wolf said that she had this firefighter movie coming up, and we kind of pitched ourselves for it.”

“The way the script read, I really wanted to play the goofy best friend, and it worked out like that. It was a lot of fun, Devon is great. He is really good in leading man roles as well, and I feel there are big things coming down the pipe for him,” Russell added.

The trailer for “Love on Fire” may be seen below.

Aside from Christopher Russell who plays “Big” Mo Wagner, “Love on Fire” stars Tegan Moss, Devon Alexander, and Loretta Walsh.
