Actor Christian Ganiere chatted about starring as Ten on the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things.”
On being a part of “Stranger Things,” he said, “That was amazing. Unreal. I still can’t believe it happened.”
He is drawn to his character “Ten” for several reasons. “That even though Ten had a ton of siblings he was in his own world and didn’t really fit in with anyone but Papa,” he explained.
‘Rekindling Christmas’
Ganiere had great words about being a part of the Emmy-nominated “Rekindling Christmas,” where he played TJ Marshall, and starred opposite Ashley Atwood and Michael Patrick Lane.
“Acting is my favorite thing to do in life,” he admitted. This was the first time my parents and I have done a project together and we had so much fun working on set. Sign me up for more, please. I love working with other actors like Ashley and Michael who put the work in behind the scenes, are present, and generous. They show up ready to play and take things to another level.”
“Rekindling Christmas” was directed by James Ganiere, and written by Rebekah Ganiere.
Regarding his daily motivations as an actor, he said, “Just getting to try new things, meet and work with new people. It’s the best job in the world. I never know what I’m gonna do next and I always pick up something new from everyone I work with.”
For young and aspiring actors, Ganiere encouraged them to do the following: “If you really want to do it, you need to work at it and work hard and just keep going.”
He opened up about being an actor in the digital age. “It feels a bit surreal because you are everywhere on everything and suddenly everyone knows and sees you like when I was five and did the Subaru ‘Jr Driver’ commercial, people recognized me at San Diego Comic Con even when I was in cosplay as Luke Skywalker with my family,” he said.
On his definition of the word success, he said, “Success means being able to do what I want when I want. Being able to choose to work on roles that I love and with people that I admire.”
“Thank you so much,” he concluded to his fans and supporters. “The fans have been overwhelmingly kind. Their support, love, and friendships that have come my way is beyond humbling.”
