Chris Roach talks upcoming comedy shows at The Paramount (Includes interview)

On April 6 and 9, Roach will be opening for fellow comedian and co-star Kevin James at The Paramount. “It feels great. I can’t wait to go out and see the big Long Island crowd. It is going to be a lot of fun,” Roach said.

In his live comedy shows, Roach touches upon such topics as his family life and marriage. “I write about my own life, which is the easiest thing to do really,” he admitted.

His plans for the future are to continue to make people laugh at comedy club across the country. “God willing, Kevin Can Wait will last many more reasons, where I’m really having the time of my life,” he said.

Regarding his experience on Kevin Can Wait, he said, “It is one big family over there. We all get along and we all go out to dinners and karaoke. We all connected right away, and it’s one big family.”

Roach continued, “Kevin James is a great guy, and you really learn a lot from watching him each time he is on set. He wears many hats. He is very hands on and always doing different things. Working with him is incredible.”

For aspiring comics, he said, “Mind their business. Don’t get involved in other people’s junk. When you stop down at a comedy club, just stay out of the way. If you are looking to get seen at a comedy club, they will know you are there, you don’t have to go out of your way and bother people. Eat and just be quiet. Always keep trying out new material.”

He listed Jessica Kirson as his dream female collaboration choice in comedy. “She’s very funny and she’s really sweet,” he said.

For his fans, he said, “Thank you for believing me and for the support from the very beginning.”
