His Pieces of You EP was produced by Grammy winner Ben Fowler, who is best known for his work with the iconic southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd and Michael McDonald, as well as Phoenix Mendoza. It will consist of five tracks that were penned solely by Carmack himself, and that are quite diverse. These songs include his single “Being Alone,” “Can’t Do It Again,” “What Has Changed,” “Always Mine” and the title track “Pieces of You.”
He will be performing live with his “Nashville” cast-mates on October 3 at the Grand Ole Opry in celebration of its 90th Birthday Bash in Nashville, Tennessee.
Carmack was born in Washington D.C., and he started playing saxophone at a young age, which led to him performing in a jazz band and in theater in high school. He went on to study at New York University’s Tisch Adler Conservatory. In his spare time, the entertainer would practice guitar, which was helpful for his role on the television series “Nashville.”
Aside from performing in the United States, Carmack also performed in London, where he played John Buchanan in Tennessee Williams’ Summer and Smoke.
