On returning to The Paramount for a sold-out venue, Sky said, “We are in love with this place and the people. Having sold this venue out tonight makes it even more special. This place is definitely the home for us on Long Island. We love The Paramount, and we love Long Island.”
Sky continued, “We try to balance the set-list between songs that are new, and songs that people want to hear. We will be performing three or four new songs tonight. We want the songs to be familiar but fresh.”
This past September, Sky and drummer Mike Maenza played with Tiffany and her band at Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan. They joined her for the grand finale where she sang her signature song “I Think We’re Alone Now.” “Tiffany is like family to us. The fact that it was such a unique show is so much fun. Anytime you’re with Tiffany, it’s a good time. She is the most generous person,” Sky said.
Sky paid his respects to such late artists as George Michael, David Bowie and Prince that passed away suddenly last year. “We are losing a lot of people,” he said, prior to noting that the requests for songs by Prince and George Michael have gone up for Jessie’s Girl.
