Chatting with Masta Maudz: Long Island hip hop artist and rapper (Includes interview)

“I am currently working on two music videos and a full-length studio album,” he said. “The videos should be released in late June or early July, and the album should be out by August.”

Maudz shared that his biggest musical influences include A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and The Pharcyde.

His plans for the future are quite busy. The rapper will continue to write, record, and perform his music as well as produce beats for many other rappers. “I have multiple rappers working on projects featuring my beats,” he said. “My music is inspired by astrology, psychedelic literature, and the life experiences I’ve had in New York and California.”

One of his proudest moments was the completion of a short film on his YouTube channel entitled Seasonz: A Masta Maudz Movie, which may be seen below.

His advice for aspiring musicians is as follows: “My advice, which may be cliché is to only make music from a place of love. I believe if you’re doing that, the rest will fall into place.”

For his fans, he concluded, “Thank you for supporting my creativity and just know that I plan on continually bringing the quality of music and visuals up a level with each new project that I put out.”
