Dylan Landon, the founder and executive producer of HyperActive, chatted about being an entrepreneur in the digital age.
Throughout his career, he has won two Emmy Awards for his role as Lead Creative Producer on the NY Giants’ original shows like “Good Kid from Brooklyn.”
His production company HyperActive is producing content for major digital personalities such as the “Impaulsive” podcast with Logan Paul, as well as producers with influencer Josh Richards, among others.
For those who may not be familiar, how would you describe HyperActive as a business and what role it plays in today’s media landscape?
HyperActive is a creative production studio that I founded built for the digital era, helping brands, talent, and platforms translate big ideas into culturally resonant, viral content.
We specialize in long-form and short-form digital series, promotional campaigns, and creator collaborations that bridge traditional entertainment with modern digital storytelling—driving massive organic reach, cultural moments, and audience engagement.
Some of our partners include The New York Football Giants, Logan Paul, Jake Paul, MrBeast, Mark Wahlberg, Ryan Serhant, Josh Richards, Republic Records, and many more.
Any projects that stand out?
One project that stands out from this year is our Season 5 Promo Video for The Eli Manning Show in which we brought together the San Francisco Giants, the New York Giants, and Local Sports Radio Legend Mike Francesca, for the payoff to a famous inside joke 10 years in the making.
It achieved over 100 million impressions, and truly owned the Internet for the day. ·
What sparked the creation of HyperActive, and what gap did you see in the market that made you feel now was the moment to build it?
Make Life Happen is mantra we live by, and essentially, we just love making stuff. So we wanted to be in a position to make great work for partners looking to impact pop culture.
As the industry continues to widen at the poles – between Streaming Buyers on one end and UGC on the other, we are confident the middle space of “premium digital” will continue to grow, and we will be positioned to serve the audience where they are.
As a founder, what motivates you on a daily basis, especially on the days when building feels most challenging?
To continue to build a dream-life with fulfilling creative pursuits, financial prosperity, and a beautiful home and family life.
How did the name come about? What does it represent philosophically, and how does it reflect the company’s mission?
Let’s Go! That’s both my response to this question, and our energy in which we approach life.
HyperActive is a word that I suppose gets placed on children in a negative light, and at a minimum, we are turning it into a superpower. Our goal in everything we do is to lead with enthusiasm. Joy. Kindness.
How do you think about building a company in a digital-first era, where attention moves quickly and trends evolve constantly?
By reminding ourselves we never really have the answer and all we can do to best serve our partners and the audience is to trust our instincts and stay nimble to the current of pop culture and viewing habits.
Looking ahead, what does the next phase of growth look like for you and for HyperActive?
More original content series with great talent and concepts.
How does technology factor into your personal workflow and decision-making as a founder?
If my phone is in my hand, I’m proud to be an immediate responder. But it’s important to be self-aware and say to yourself, could I be more effective taking a moment here.
Were there any pivotal moments or inflection points in your career that helped shape your leadership style or vision?
Wouldn’t say one moment, but overall my takeaway has been, better to let your colleagues shine versus micromanaging. Empower them to do what they do well, and the results will follow…and its more fun for all!
What advice would you give to young or aspiring entrepreneurs who want to build something meaningful in today’s landscape?
Whatever your passion is, lean into that and make it your career.
When you reflect on your journey so far, what does success mean to you, and has that definition evolved over time?
Cars, mansions, and money are fun, but feeling successful is all that matters, no matter what it looks like.
