Reality TV personality Cristian Lager (“Too Hot to Handle” on Netflix) chatted about his latest endeavors. He is also a model, digital influencer, and content creator.

The digital age
On being a reality TV personality, model, and content creator in the digital age, Lager said, “It can be kind of surreal. It is definitely a privilege. I am very blessed to be in the spot and the position that I have been able to achieve, and I loved a lot of aspects about it.”
“I think it can be sometimes stressful and there can be some pressure on you because of the spotlight but when I do my content or when I am on reality TV, or when I am modeling, I am trying to represent myself in the best way possible to help motivate and inspire others,” he elaborated.
“I am always trying to be the best version of myself and always going above and beyond; giving 100 percent in everything I do is what my parents have taught me,” he added.
Technology in his daily routine
Regarding his use of technology in his daily routine, Lager said, “I am pretty big on social media. There are a lot of positives about social media that I love but sometimes, there can be negatives to it.”
“As a content creator and as someone who is in the digital space, I always try to connect with people and be able to tell a story whether that’s through a single image or through a 15-second clip,” he explained.
“I love creating content because it has inspired people and they are able to feel something, and I am able to make a positive impact on people in the same way others have made a positive impact on me in my life,” he elaborated.
“Being able to get that message across has been a blessing,” he noted.
“Also, knowing that people are entertained and that I can make someone’s day off a 15-second clip is a lot of fun. I genuinely enjoy doing what I do. My audience motivates me, and I hope to motivate them in return,” he added.
Daily motivations
Regarding his daily motivations, he said, “I have goals that I want to achieve later on in my life. You have to work very hard.”
“For me, I want to live a very good life,” he noted. “I didn’t come from a lot of money, and I’ve had to work really hard for everything that I achieved in my life. I do love that grind and that mentality, and a part of me likes working really hard to achieve goals.”
“Life is hard either way,” he admitted. “It’s going to be hard if you sit on your butt because it is going to be painful in 20 to 30 years from now.”
“It is also going to be hard because you would have to work every single day at something that you want to achieve, but in end, it’ll be worth it,” he underscored.
Future plans
On his future plans, he shared, “I am really focused on growing my presence in the entertainment industry, whether that is acting, modeling, or content creation.”
“Also, I want to blend in my other passions, which are finance and real estate. I like to blend them together whether it be as an actor or as an entrepreneur, or in real estate,” he elaborated.
“I would love to blend entertainment with the finances/sales aspect and use those together, and we will see what kind of magic we can make with that down the road,” he added.
‘Too Hot to Handle’ on Netflix
Lager recalled being a part of Season 6 of the reality show “Too Hot to Handle” on Netflix.
“It was great,” he admitted. “It was a lot of fun; I was the youngest contestant (at 19 years old at the time). I met a lot of cool, amazing people and we remained friends until this day. It was an amazing opportunity.”
“I went from living in a frat house to a 30-million-dollar mansion in Turks & Caicos, so it was a nice upgrade,” he said with a sweet laugh.
“I had a blast, and I made a lot of life-long friends along the way, and I learned a lot from the experience. I definitely don’t take it for granted,” he added.
Defining moments in life
On his defining moments, he stated, “Playing sports really helped me growing up because it really taught me a work ethic and how to be disciplined, how to be in a team, and how to work with other people, especially football in high school.”
“Also, living in different places such as Los Angeles and New York City, I learned a lot,” he noted.
“I had to work my way from the ground up, but it’s a lot of fun because you meet so many cool people along the way, it forces you to be social, and you make a lot of great connections and experiences out of the whole thing,” he elaborated.
Stage of his life
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Lager revealed, “Hustle hard and don’t forget to smell the roses along the way.”
Success
On his definition of the word success, Lager said, “You can have all the money in the world but if you have nobody in your life are you really successful? To me, you are not.”
“Success is having your friends and family around you while also doing something that you love and being able to make a positive impact on yourself and others,” he added.
