Chatting with Beau Casper Smart at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York (Includes interview)

“It feels amazing because I was a sweet tooth and I love candy,” he said, about being at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York. “I love chips, junk food and all the yummy stuff.”

On partnering with Lay’s “Poppables,” he said, “It’s a super honor and blessing to be a part of a top tier brand like this. It is a fun new snack that they have. It is so close to do what I do with the music and the dance and the performance. It’s pop culture and it’s Poppables.”

At Dylan’s Candy Bar, he gave party-goers and members of the media moves from the 90’s, as well as some killer Latin dance steps. ‘I had fun. I thought it was going to be fun, but it was more fun than I anticipated. Everybody had such good energy in here,” he said.

On his plans for the future, he joked, “To rule the world.” “I want to continue more in acting and focus more on that as I have been. I still want to do creative directing with artists. I want to do comedy in action,” he said. “I would love to have my own cologne brand and clothing brand.”

Throughout his career, he has worked with such artists as Prince Royce, Nicki Minaj and Nick Jonas, among others. “Everybody that I have worked with has been a dream. It is something that I never expected to do. I fell into everything and I just love to do what I love. Working with amazing, top-tier performers is a blessing to be a part of,” he said.

Over the last five years, he sees a lot of “amazing journeys and growth.” “I see a lot of things that I could have changed and done better,” he said.

As his alternate career choice, Smart shared that he would have loved to have been a firefighter. “I went to school for it, and did my testing and right after high school I jumped to get my EMT degree. Then, I started dancing and it changed my life,” he said.

He noted that the key to longevity in the entertainment industry is comprised of grace, poise, respect, passion and kindness. Smart defined the word success as contentment in life.
