Chatting with Adina Butar: Electronic music sensation (Includes interview)

On the electronic dance music scene, Butar said, “There are so many layers of EDM but what I love the most is the sense of community, people from all over the world, no matter what color, no matter what age, what sexual preference, we all unite and form a peaceful loving community as you can see in the big festivals like Ultra, EDV Vegas, Electric Zoo, among others.”

Butar grew up working at a radio station, where she would have her own radio show. “I used to love playing songs by Dido, Enya, The Corrs, and today I really love what Emma Hewitt and Christina Novelli are doing.

She is in the process of finishing the filming of her new music video for her new single with Novaspace, which will be released in February. She is also working on a new track with Markus Schulz for his new album, which is expected to be released in April. “I am also working on putting together few songs I was working on for an EP,” she added.

For advice for aspiring musicians is simple: to never give up to their dreams and to have patience. “Success does not happen overnight, you may be lucky and have success with one single but then it is all about hard work and how much passion you put into your work. Follow your dreams and have trust and patience,” she underscored.

When asked what motivates her each day, she said, “I wake up in the morning and I know I am living my dream. Nothing else is more motivating than this, than knowing you are on your path, that you are living your destiny. Every day I do what I do with love and I am lucky to be surrounded only by people who I love and inspire me everyday to put in words and songs what I feel in my heart. Also, reading the messages from the fans on Facebook, that tells me that my music helps them go through difficult moments in their lives. It motivates me to write more and more songs that help and inspire other people in their lives.”

The songstress noted that by travelling with Schulz, she has been afforded the privilege to meet and hang out with lots of talented producers and DJs such as Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, ATB, among others. “Working with them would be amazing but again the most important thing is chemistry,” she said.

Butar defined the word success as a combination of faith, hard work, discipline, positive thinking and perseverance.

For her fans, she concluded, “Thank you for being so sweet and loyal. I love reading your messages everyday and I can’t wait to meet you all over the world.”
