Acclaimed actor Drew Fuller sat down and chatted at the RomaDrama Live! fan event that took place in West Palm Beach, Florida, from June 24 to 26. He opened up about his career, which included roles on “Charmed” and “Army Wives,” and the digital age.

RomaDrama Live!

“It feels really exciting,” he exclaimed about being a part of RomaDrama Live! in Florida. “It is a lot of fun. This event has been super sweet and everyone has been incredible, and the fans are amazing. I couldn’t ask for better weather,” he said.

“It’s fun to meet people, sign some things, and hang out,” he added.

‘Army Wives’

Fuller was born in Orange County, California. He has been working in film and television for the past decade. For the last seven years, Fuller has been a series regular on Lifetime’s hit show “Army Wives,” which also stars Catherine Bell and Kim Delaney. In 2011, he starred in the feature film “Kane Files,” in which he won a “Best Actor” award at the SDFF.

He had great words about working with Kim Delaney on “Army Wives.” “Kim is one of my favorite humans,” he said. “The ‘Army Wives’ cast and I became a family. Kim is one of the most brilliant actors alive, and she is stunning with a big heart. She’s one of my favorite people that I’ve ever gotten to work with and I wish we had more scenes together.”

Playing Chris on ‘Charmed’

He also starred alongside James Garner, Brian Dennehy, and Abigail Breslin in “The Ultimate Gift” back in 2006. He is best known for appearing as the character Chris on the WB hit show “Charmed” in 2004.

In “Charmed,” he played the role of Chris Halliwell, whom he described as “mischievous.” “Chris was really a lot of fun to play since he had secrets and I had to constantly execute things but without telling everyone how I was going to go about doing it so that was always fun,” he explained.

“Also, nobody knew who I really was for a long time and that was fun to play,” he added.

The digital age

On being an actor in the digital age, Fuller said, “I love it and the way it has evolved. There are so many platforms and there are so many ways to access content now. There is no excuse not to have access to great content now. In fact, there are too many great things out there.”

“At any time and anywhere in the world, somebody can find something that they love and they can be inspired by, and that’s what we should be doing as artists, inspiring others. I don’t mind change, it inspires me, and I am grateful,” he added.

Other acting credits

Fuller’s other film credits include the independent drama “Dark Ride” and playing real-life criminal Rod Farrell in “Vampire Clan,” which was directed by John Webb. He also appeared in “Angels Don’t Sleep Here,” “Close Call,” and the short film “The One,” which won an Audience Award at Sundance.

Prior to pursuing his acting career, Fuller modeled in New York and Europe, doing campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger and Prada. He has also appeared in numerous commercials, including Pepsi, opposite Britney Spears, and in a Lindsay Lohan music video.

Fuller shared that he wrote a show entitled “Maybe It’s Me?” that he directed, produced, and is starring in. “It’s a dark comedy about dating in Los Angeles,” he said.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he responded, “Evolution.”

Success

Regarding his definition of the word success, Fuller remarked, “At the end of the day, looking in the mirror and being proud of the things that I am making, and what I am trying to say with them. If I can do that, then I am being successful.”
