Celine Dion celebrates anniversary, pays special tribute to Paris

Dion performed during this year’s American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater on November 22 in Los Angeles, California. She sang the French Edith Piaf classic “Hymne a L’Amour,” which featured a montage of various Paris landmarks, in homage to the recent Paris attacks. Dion was introduced by Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto, who is also the lead singer of the rock group Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Dion’s powerhouse performance subsequently earned her a lengthy standing ovation from her fans and peers in the industry, and it left many audience members in tears.

She was also a part of Michael Buble’s television Christmas special, “Christmas in Hollywood,” where she sang a duet version of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” with Buble, and a solo version of “O Holy Night.” “I love the song that you picked for us,” Buble said, during the television special, referring to “Happy Xmas (War Is Over).”

This month, in her personal life, Dion celebrated her 21-year wedding anniversary with husband, René Angélil. They have three sons together.
