Australian-based performer, model, and globally recognized social media influencer Will Parfitt catches us up about his latest endeavors.
He chatted about his journey from backpacker (to Australia) to business owner and to a TikTok and Instagram superstar. “It is actually crazy. Things have been really busy lately and it is nice to look back and reflect,” he said.
“I literally came to Australia with a backpack and $500 to my name and now, Magic Men Australia is one of the biggest male revues in the world. The journey has been incredible and things are going well,” he added.
His videos and reels on social media have gone viral, thus earning him worldwide exposure.
A world-renowned Channing Tatum doppelganger, he shared that it never grows old, hearing those Channing comparisons on a regular basis. “It feels good, they are still coming in, especially each time you are introduced to a new audience,” he said. “A lot of people though are getting to know me as Will now so that is good as well.”
Parfitt noted that he cannot wait to come to America someday to perform shows there. “America is going to be so good and crazy,” he admitted. “My biggest following is still in the United States so that’s definitely in the cards.”
Forthcoming international tour
He is looking forward to his upcoming tour in Canada and New Zealand. “We have Canada coming up in May and New Zealand after that,” he said. “That will be our first international tour in Canada, and we will be there for a whole month. We will be in Canada for the whole month of May. International is our big target for the next year so it’s going to be good.”
The digital age
On being a social media sensation in the digital age, no “Technology has made such a massive difference. Back in the day, they used to promote shows simply by going to the venues and they would hand out flyers on the streets or put posters up in restrooms and venues to try to promote the shows. Social media has made such a massive difference once you have a following. It is crazy the crowds that you can bring in to the show. People that come to the show tag us on Instagram and they tag us at the show so now it’s more mainstream and a fun thing to do.”
Regarding his use of technology in his daily routine, Parfitt said, “I use social media to promote events that are coming up, and just in general.”
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Parfitt said, “The rise to the top.”
Superpower
If he were to have any superpower, he revealed that it would be “to fly” and “to be at two places at once.” “Flying would be cool, and to be in two places at the same time would be also good,” he admitted.
Success
On his definition of the word success, Parfitt said, “Chasing that next goal but also being present in the moment. Also, enjoying the journey, the moment that we are in, and definitely trying to soak it in. Being happy as well is success.”
For his fans, Parfitt expressed, “A massive thank you to everyone that has supported me on social media. Their support has been incredible.”
