Actor Johnny Wactor (“General Hospital” fame) sat down and chatted about “American Sognare.”
He is known for portraying Brando Corbin on the ABC daytime drama “General Hospital,” a fan-favorite character.
He explained that “sognare” means “to dream” in Italian. “My friend, Luca Perito, was the writer. We lived in the producer’s house for two weeks shooting this film. It’s about an Italian-American family that was inspired by his family and I got to meet all of them while we were filming,” Wactor said.
“I play a guy named Marco, who grew up with the main character. Marco struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, and addiction to women, and he battles his journey and also his journey with rebuilding a relationship with his best friend and losing the matriarch of the community,” he added.
Wactor’s favorite mottos to live by are: “get off your a** and work,” “take it easy, one day at a time,” as well as “if you want love, enrich your community,” and “don’t be a victim.”
He revealed that his favorite cheat meal are “brownies right now.”
On his favorite movies, he remarked, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.” “I just watched ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ on the airplane a few weeks ago and it was fantastic,” he said, prior to noting that the latter film was hilarious.
His favorite series to binge-watch is “Bosch” on Amazon Prime. “I am a huge fan of Titus Welliver,” he said.
Most recently, on October 8 and 9, Wactor shared that he enjoyed being a part of the “Samantha’s Friends” benefit fundraiser in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, where the proceeds help the Southeastern Guide dogs charity.
This past September, he was part of an in-person fan event in Rockwells in Pelham, New York, along with “General Hospital” co-star Marcus Coloma. “It feels great to be at Rockwells,” he exclaimed.
