Jeff Timmons, the founding member of the boy band 98 Degrees, chatted about his latest projects and future plans, which include a documentary.

“90s Con was awesome, it was crazy, in the best possible way. There was a lot of people there,” he said about being a part of the second 90s Con fan convention in Connecticut.

Timmons gave us a glimpse into some of his future plans. “98 Degrees is going to do something in the fall around September or October. We will do a limited run around so that should be fun. Also, maybe release some new music,” he revealed. “Of course, I am doing a lot of behind-the-scenes things, and documentaries of that nature. The documentary is going to be pretty amazing,” he said.

Y2K Pink Party

Timmons shared that he enjoyed doing the “Y2K Pink Party” at the Westfield Montgomery mall show in Maryland, where he was joined by Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC.

“That was cool. It was a mall event in Westfield, that was pretty great. There were 6,000 people at that too. It was in Washington, DC, where you don’t normally expect the malls to be packed, but after COVID, people put things into perspective. People were excited to get out and about,” he said.

“Chris Kirkpatrick is such a great guy and friend, I can’t say enough good things about him,” Timmons added.

Favorite sport to watch and favorite sport to play

He noted that his favorite sport to play is “football,” and lately, he enjoys watching the NBA playoffs. “Those games have high intensity,” he said.

Upcoming birthday

He will be celebrating his landmark 50th birthday at the end of this month. “When you get to these late 40’s birthday and early 50’s birthdays, you sort of ignore those days,” he said with a sweet laugh. “My wife, Amanda, has been trying to do something special. She is always amazing about these things. For me, it’s just another day, and I am trying to work and not take it too seriously.”

Fans

For his dedicated 98 Degrees fans and supporters, he concluded, “It has been a wild one, has it? I am excited to see the fans this fall. 98 Degrees has a couple of surprises coming. I can’t wait to see them in person, I am excited to get back out there.”
