Emmy-nominated actor Brandon Beemer chatted about “The Bay” on Tubi, and “Days of Our Lives.”

‘The Bay’ on Tubi

The 23-time Emmy award-winning series “The Bay” is now available for streaming on Tubi (where viewers can watch it on the streaming service for free). Beemer plays the role of district attorney Evan Blackwell. “I am pretty happy with how the latest season came out,” he said.

In Season 7 of “The Bay,” Beemer was afforded the privilege to work with veteran actor John Aprea (“The Godfather Part II”), who plays his grandfather Jack Madison. “That was great,” he admitted. “It is always fun to work with somebody that has been in this business for so long. It is nice to have some new blood on the show, and see what we can come up with. It was a fun experience.”

The multi-camera serialized drama is produced by the independent film and television production company LANY Entertainment in association with SheMogal Media.

On being a part of Tubi, Beemer said, “That is pretty great, it is nice to see that it’s on different platforms where a lot of people have the opportunity and the ability to see the show.”

The synopsis of “The Bay” is: In a town cursed by the spirit of a murdered senator, the residents of Bay City struggle after a shocking cataclysmic event leaves everyone wondering who lives and who dies.

For his producing work on “The Bay,” Beemer won the 2020 Daytime Emmy Award for “Outstanding Digital Drama Series.”

‘Days of Our Lives’

This past September, Beemer celebrated his 16th anniversary on “Days of Our Lives,” which is now streaming exclusively on Peacock. He is known for his portrayal of Shawn-Douglas Brady, the son of the iconic on-screen couple Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso).

At the time, Beemer had just came off an emotional storyline on the show, where it was revealed via a paternity test that his character, Shawn’s baby was not really his, the baby was Evan Frears’ (played by Brock Kelly). “That was fun but heartbreaking, it definitely was to go through all that,” he said.

“It has been quite the run,” he acknowledged about being on the show for 16 years. “I’m surprised that I’ve made it this long. It has been a lot of fun and it is nice to be a part of such a long-running show.

“Today, they announced that ‘Days of Our Lives’ got renewed for two more years so that’s great, especially since I will continue to be working and doing what I love. Hopefully, we will get another two more years after that,” he said.

This latest renewal for the venerable soap will take one of television’s most iconic and trailblazing drama series through its 60th season.

This past October, Beemer was a part of the Star Image Entertainment “Retro Rewind Roller Skating and Dance Party” in-person fan event, which was held in Montreal, Canada, and it featured “Days of Our Lives” actors. “Montreal was great, I always love going to Montreal. The roller-skating was entertaining,” he said.

Summer fan event in Las Vegas

This summer, on August 19, Beemer revealed that he will be a part of an in-person “Days of Our Lives” fan event in Las Vegas. He will be joined by his co-stars Eric Martsolf, Bryan Datillo, Dan Feuerriegel, and Stacy Haiduk. “They had me at Vegas,” he admitted. “I couldn’t say no to Las Vegas. That one should be a lot of fun.”

Fans

For his dedicated “Days of Our Lives” fans, Beemer concluded, “I love all of my ‘Days’ fans, and all the people that have supported me over the years. I hope that I can keep entertaining them and keep seeing them at the different fan events in the future.”
