Actor and model Anthony Henderson chatted about his latest endeavors, which include the indie film “Station to Station” and fatherhood.

‘Station to Station’

On the commercial success of “Station to Station,” he said, “It has been really good. My friends still talk about it all the time. Amazon Prime is taking the movie to its full Prime subscription, so that is great news, especially since Prime members can stream it for free.”

“I still keep in contact with Benjamin Bryant, the movie’s writer and director… I love Ben, he is very artistic, and I love his vision,” Henderson admitted.

“’Station to Station’ was an amazing experience,” he recalled. “I still think it’s the funnest set that I’ve ever been on. Ben was the most collaborative director I’ve ever worked with… He allows you to be yourself in his artistic vision. He doesn’t hold you back and he guides you,” he elaborated.

“I was extremely grateful to have been a part of that, and to have had that opportunity to bring that character to life,” he added.

‘Aidy Kane’ comedy series

In the future, Henderson shared that he would love to be a part of Benjamin Bryant’s comedy series “Aidy Kane (Really Wants You to Love Him).” “Ben is a great director and very collaborative. To have an opportunity to possibly work with him again would be really special,” he acknowledged.

The digital age

Henderson noted that the digital age opens up “a lot more opportunities and exposure.” “You have so many different streaming platforms now that you can watch or put your work on, it’s pretty incredible. Now, all the streaming has been really nice. You can reach a bigger market than ever before,” he added.

AI on the future of the entertainment business

Henderson shared his thoughts on artificial intelligence on the future of the entertainment business. “I hate it,” he expressed with a strong disdain. “Everyone has been posting throwback AI photos of themselves and I won’t even do that.”

“Obviously, being an actor, AI would completely eliminate my job and I wouldn’t have a career,” he said. “I love acting, it’s my passion. Hopefully, the SAG-AFTRA union will come to some sort of agreement with the studios. I don’t agree with AI at all; it takes the humanity out of things, and I don’t like where it is going.”

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Henderson said, “Navigating Fatherhood.” “I am loving being a father… It has had some crazy experiences. Fatherhood has been fun,” he admitted. “When my son was first born, my wife was incredible about that aspect… especially since I had to be on set for nearly a month for a big project.”

He addressed balancing acting with a family life. “Everything is self-tape now, so I have been able to do and submit my auditions online,” he said.

Modeling

Lately, he has been focusing on fatherhood, so he hasn’t been doing modeling gigs. “Modeling is a great way to get yourself out there, for more exposure, and to be seen… a lot of actors started out as models,” he said.

Superpower of choice

Henderson revealed that his superpower of choice would be “mind control.” “Imagine how cool mind control would be? That would be a crazy superpower,” he admitted.
