Actress Annika Noelle of “The Bold and The Beautiful” chatted about her latest storyline on the CBS daytime drama.

She is known for her portrayal of Hope Logan, the onscreen daughter of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), for which Noelle earned a 2020 Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.”

Thomas and Hope storyline on the show

On the current Thomas and Hope storyline, she said, “It has been been quite the wild ride! I never thought Hope and Thomas would become a pairing given everything that has happened in their past but here we are! Also, the fan response has been huge.”

Working with Matthew Atkinson

She had great words about her scene partner Matthew Atkinson. “Matt and I have been working together for almost five years now so at this point, there is a certain level of trust and comfortability we have with each other,” she said.

“If only you could see the outtakes cause we are two goofballs who can’t take ourselves seriously,” she added.

Favorite storylines on the show over the years

An Emmy-nominated actress, Noelle went on to reveal some of her favorite storylines on “The Bold and The Beautiful” over the years.” “I love it when they get to feature big, almost cinematic moments,” she said.

“From Ridge falling out of a helicopter, to Sally Spectra and Liam stuck in the rubble of a building, to all of the iconic international shoots… those are always my favorite moments to tune in,” she said.

‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ fan event in Burbank, California, this past summer

Noelle reflected being a part of the “The Bold and The Beautiful” fan event in Burbank, California, this past summer.

“It felt so good to finally be able to reconnect with the fans and give back all the love they’ve given to us over the years,” Noelle said. “It was so much fun to be able to hear their thoughts, theories, and heartfelt stories. It’s the reason we do what we do.”

Noelle would love to do more scenes with Thorsten Kaye

The co-star that Noelle would love to have more scenes with is Thorsten Kaye. “I think Thorsten is such a marvelous actor, and there is so much we could potentially play given Hope’s relationship to Ridge, and his history with her mother,” she said.

The digital age

On being an actress in the digital age, now with streaming and technology being so prevalent, Noelle said, “There are pluses and minuses. Actors have more control in their own narrative with when and how they choose to share information.”

“On the other hand, people have more access to you and there is a pressure to “create content” or respond. When I was in theatre school, I never thought a follower count on social media would matter in my career, but now it sadly does,” she said.

Grateful for this Thanksgiving season

She acknowledged that this Thanksgiving season she is “thankful to have this job.” “To have this outlet to pour everything into. It is an escape for myself that will hopefully bring someone else a respite for at least 30 minutes of the day,” she explained.

Favorite motto to live by

Regarding her favorite motto to live by, she shared, “Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Superpower of choice

If she were to have any superpower, she noted that it would be “to be able to talk and communicate with animals.”

“That would be an amazing gift to communicate with nature in that way? To try to be a conduit for peace and harmony. I could warn the manatees of boats, ask the elephants to avoid crops, and tell a spider to kindly go outside,” she said.

Success

On her definition of the word success, Noelle said, “Success, to me, means reaching a level where you don’t have to worry about providing for yourself or loved ones anymore. Where you can breathe easy knowing somehow everything will work out.”

Annika Noelle’s message for her fans and supporters

For her soap opera fans and supporters, Noelle expressed, “Thank you for sticking by my side on this wild ride. It has been a difficult year for me, personally, but the fans support and belief in me? Even when I didn’t feel confident in myself? It certainly made a huge impact.”

“So, thank you,” Noelle reiterated. “I see you, I hear you, and I’m cheering you on as well. May the new year be better and brighter for us all!”
