Actor Casey Elliott chatted about his new holiday film “Destined at Christmas.”

It will premiere on Saturday, October 22, on Great American Family and he stars alongside Shae Robins. This movie is the first of 18 original holiday movie premieres on the network. “I think this is the first movie I’ve done that is on Great American Family and I am very impressed with them. I like how active they are and the content is great,” he said.

On being a part of this experience, he said, “It was great. As my daughter says ‘it was nice.’ It was great to act in this movie with my real-life daughter, that was a first for me. It was a lot of fun and a lot of good memories.”

“It was also really fun to work with Shae, who is a long-time friend,” he added.

In “Destined at Christmas,” Kim (Shae Robins) and Theo (Casey Elliott) meet amid “Black Friday” shopping madness but there’s a definite spark between them. When a power outage causes some panic at a store, the couple gets separated.

With Christmas coming, there should be plenty of distractions, but neither Kim nor Theo can forget the other. Both yearn to find each other but how with so little information to go on? It’ll take a little Christmas magic and destiny to bring them back together.

On the title of the current chapter of his life, Elliott said with a laugh, “Crazy.”

He opened up about being an actor in the digital age, at a time when streaming and technology are so prevalent. “I think it’s cool, there is more accessibility to be a part of projects, and there are more opportunities,” he said.

Elliott listed Hugh Jackman and Gal Gadot as his dream acting partners in the entertainment business.

He defined the word success as “family success, first and foremost.” “The relationships with my wife and my kids, and being a part of good projects,” he explained.

“I think these Christmas-genre movies are about feeling good, and that is why they are so popular, especially in our world. This is content that everybody can feel good after watching,” he concluded about “Destined at Christmas.”
