Actor and musician Carson Boatman opened up about the upcoming “Day Players” concerts that will take place this September on the East Coast.

Boatman stars as Johnny DiMera on the popular NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” Recently, he was afforded the chance to play the devil on the show, where his character became known as Jo-Devil.

“It was incredibly fun,” he admitted to playing Jo-Devil. “It might be the only time I get to play the devil. It was a great time because there are no limits. It was a unique experience and opportunity for an actor.”

He had great words about actor Dan Feuerriegel who plays his father EJ DiMera on the show. “We have a good time together, it is a lot of fun working with him,” Boatman said about his on-screen dad.

The Day Players Band

Boatman will be joined by his “Days of Our Lives” co-stars Eric Martsolf, Brandon Barash, and Wally Kurth, all of which are musicians as well. They have joined musical forces to form “The Day Players.” It is an unprecedented 90-minute acoustic act, encompassing rich harmonies, engaging storytelling, and an unforgettable evening of music. “I am super excited, I cannot wait,” he exclaimed. “We have been working hard and we are making sure that the show is great for everybody.”

“We all have so much fun together that I don’t even notice the generational gap. There doesn’t feel like there is any disconnect at all,” he said.

On September 15, the “Day Players” will be at The Stress Factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and on September 16, they will be performing at The Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore on Long Island. “We are excited to play The Brokerage,” he said.

They will make a stop at The Stress Factory in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on September 17, and it will wrap up on September 18 at The Cabot Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts.

“The reason we started this band was for all of us to have fun,” Boatman said. “it’s an excuse for us to go hang out and play music, which we all love to do. We want the fans to have as much fun as we do. We want them to hang out, have a party, and leave with a smile.”

Samantha’s Friends

This past May, Boatman participated in the “Samantha’s Friends” benefit fundraiser in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, which benefits the Southeastern Guide Dogs. “It was fun. I was excited, I have a couple more of those coming up next year in 2023,” he said.

Virtual fan event with Eric Martsolf

Boatman also enjoyed doing a virtual fan event with Eric Martsolf for Star Image Entertainment, where the proceeds go towards the Canadian charity Cedars CanSupport. “That was so much fun,” he admitted.
