He also shared that he has a great deal of respect for Laura Wright as an actress, who stars as Carly on the ABC daytime drama. “Laura is an exceptional human with a huge heart and enormous talent,” he said.
Hosting a new game show ‘Beat the Bridge’
He described his new upcoming game show “Beat the Bridge” as a “dynamic, super fun, and big production.” He revealed that it will be airing on the Game Show Network this June.
Great American Family films
Most recently, Mathison inked a multi-movie deal with Great American Family, where he will be doing family films and content for them. “This network is really, really special to me,” he acknowledged.
“It is so nice and you know what it feels like to watch these movies. There is something magical about these films, especially from a family and holiday aspect to them,” he said.
“You can watch these movies with your kids and the entire family,” he noted. “While watching these movies is fun, making them is even better. You are in them and you get to experience all these decorations, the love story, and everything.”
“It is a beautiful opportunity to come in there and have that experience for three weeks, and have that live on forever in film. These family movies are very near and dear to my heart,” he added.
Filming a new holiday movie
Speaking of Great American Family, he revealed that he is looking forward to doing a new holiday movie for them and it will have a “female lead that everyone knows,” and he stated that he is “very excited to work with this actress.”
“My co-star in this upcoming Christmas movie is somebody that I’ve always wanted to work with, and I guarantee all of you know her. I am so excited about it,” he foreshadowed.
In the meantime, he listed his holiday movie “A Merry Christmas Wish,” where he starred opposite Jill Wagner back in 2022, as one of his favorite holiday films he has ever done.
Key to longevity in staying healthy
He stressed that the key to longevity in staying healthy involves “building muscle.” “It’s strength training and resistance training,” he said.
“The key to longevity is not cardio, and it’s not losing fat. It’s about keeping your muscles strong for as long as you can, especially when you get older. Injury prevention and building muscle is key,” he explained.
Mathison on greatest lesson that the entertainment industry has taught him
On the greatest lesson that the entertainment business has taught him, he responded, “We are capable of anything. Our potential is so limited and we can honestly become our dreams, even if it’s the biggest change in the world.”
“Anything is possible and you can live out your dream,” he underscored.
Places that he would love to live in
He noted that he would love to live in such cities as Scottsdale and Phoenix, both of which are in Arizona, as well as in the Greek island of Milos.
“If I could move to the island of Milos in Greece, that would be amazing,” he exclaimed. “Milos is probably my favorite destination that I’ve ever been to on Earth. It blew my mind.”

Mathison also remembered his late dog, Red, whom he described as his “best friend.” He went on to thank all of his fans and followers that extended their emotional support and outpouring of love during that trying time.
