Calum Scott discusses Gramercy Theatre show in New York, future (Includes interview)

On November 11, Scott will be performing at Gramercy Theatre in New York City as part of his first headlining tour in the United States. “That will be so amazing. I can’t wait for that,” he said.

His music video for “Dancing on My Own” has gone viral to the point where it has surpassed the original Robyn music video in views. “Oh my God. That was unbelievable. When I started, I never thought that it would get to this point. I never thought that it would get this big. We released it for the fans originally, but it has just done so well, and it has reached every corner of the world. I can’t believe all the countries it has gotten to. I’ve never even been to the countries that it has been played in. It was just a very privileged feeling,” he said.

Regarding his plans for the future, Scott said, “I’ve got lots going on. I am out in America at the moment doing my headlining tour. When I get back, I got to record an acoustic version of my next single in the U.K. Then, I will be doing songwriting in December in London.”

He hinted that he has a trip in Norway planned, as well as a trip to Australia and New Zealand. “The album is due to come out in the spring of next year, and then I will be writing the second album,” he said. “I’m definitely very busy. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”
