Following the unveiling of Shadows of Evil (the zombie side-game) at Comic Con, Activsion unveiled on its blog that the multiplayer beta will first be open to PlayStation 4 gamers from August 19 until August 23. Meanwhile, Xbox One and PC gamers will have access to the beta from August 26 until August 30.
Players will get to test a verity of new features and maps in the beta. However, it’s important to note that this experience involves a beta and it may not reflect the final product.
The blog also said more details about the game will be unveiled in the weeks to come before the beta becomes open. Access to the beta is only available to gamers who pre-ordered the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be the twelfth game in the popular series and the fourth game in the World at War / Black Ops story arc. The game will be released on November 6, 2015 for all major Next-Gen consoles and the PC.
This will be the first time since Call of Duty: World at War that Treyarch has allowed gamers to experience the multiplayer beta.
