This is due to the perennial success of her holiday classic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” which moves up from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Billboard Country Streaming Songs charts, after its re-entry, while charting for 13 weeks.
Most recently, as Digital Journal reported, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Holiday Airplay charts, thus showcasing its longevity, significance and relevance in the music industry, 57 years after it was originally released as a single.
Lee is the sole female artist to be a member of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She just celebrated her 71st birthday at a live show at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The iconic songstress, dubbed as “Little Miss Dynamite,” celebrated the special occasion with Grand Ole Opry members The Whites and multi-Grammy winner Ricky Skaggs.
