‘Boyhood’ wins BAFTA

Now, here come those awards from across the pond with The British Academy of Film and Television BAFTA. They do have a British top film and then an overall category. The Outstanding British Film Award went to “The Theory of Everything,” while Richard Linklater wins the director prize for “Boyhood.”

The supporting category are playing along the usual lines this award season with J.K. Simmons (“Whiplash”) and Patricia Arquette (“Boyhood”) winning. Acting awards went to Julianne Moore (“Still Alice”) and Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”). Things are moving Redmayne’s way lately and he may pull an upset over Michael Keaton at Oscar.
