Bobbi Kristina Brown: Taken off life-support and close to death?

Confusing reports on Bobbi Kristina Brown

Some reports, including one from Daily Mail in the U.K., say doctors took off life-support today. “‘The plug on Bobbi Kristina has been pulled,’ a police source with knowledge of her medical condition told DailyMail.com,” the news site wrote. The site further reported that family members were praying the 21-year-old somehow survived.

But following that report, and similar reports from other media, there was news that Ms. Brown was not taken off life-support and that the family is not gathering to say goodbye. Also being refuted were rumors that the Houston and Brown families were in disagreement over her.

Through NBC, the family released a statement Thursday afternoon:

“There is no ‘family gathering’ today that is any different from any other day since (Bobbi Kristina) has been in the hospital,” the statement read. “The family has been there since the weekend, so nothing any different today for them to be there than any other day. She is not brain dead, and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting.”

Similar to Whitney Houston

Today is the birthday of her father, Bobby Brown. Also, TMZ and other media reported today that Bobby Brown’s wife, Alicia Etheredge, is 4-months pregnant.

Bobbi Kristina Brown is in a medically induced coma following being found in her bathtub unresponsive. It is eerily similar to the case of her mother. Whitney Houston died at the age of 48 on Feb. 11, 2012 in the Beverly Hills Hilton the day before the Grammy Awards, which she was expected to attend.

The cause of Mr. Houston’s death was said to be drowning; the coroner ruled that heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors. There is nothing to indicate that Bobbi Kristina Brown had used drugs before being found in the bathtub.
