Joel made his debut at Madison Square Garden over 42 years ago, and this will mark his 123rd career lifetime show at the historic venue. All of his shows have sold out, and he has sold over one million tickets. This June 6th performance may be subject to change there is a conflict with a playoff game.
In December of 2013, Joel was named the first-ever music franchise by Madison Square Garden, where he joins the ranks of the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers. The “Piano Man” plays one show per month at the “World’s Most Famous Arena” and stated that he will continue to do so “as long as the demand continues.”
Joel has sold over 150 million albums worldwide over the past 25 years; moreover, he secured 33 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard charts, and he is the third best-selling solo artist of all time. He is a Kennedy Center Honoree and a winner of six Grammy Awards. He has also been inducted into such Halls of Fame as the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
