On October 2nd, Emmy-nominated actor Billy Flynn of “Days of Our Lives” participated in a virtual fan event with Spectrum Celebrity Events.

Flynn is known for his portrayal of Chad DiMera on the Peacock daytime drama, which has earned him three Daytime Emmy nominations for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.”

A portion of the proceeds from this online fan event benefits the nonprofit organization, True Colors United, which implements innovative solutions to youth homelessness by focusing on the experiences of those most impacted —LGBTQ+ and BIPOC youth.

Greatest lesson that the acting profession has ever taught him

On the greatest lesson that the acting profession has ever taught him, Flynn revealed, “It has taught me the importance of being authentic.”

“If you are not authentic and it’s not something you are feeling or experiencing in the moment, then it’s not going to be believable,” he said.

“Luckily, over time, you develop enough of a craft to fake it until you make it, for example. For me, if you are genuine, you are going to have a genuine reaction to things.”

“I don’t overprepare for things because you lose spontaneity that way,” he admitted. “If it loses the spontaneity and the authenticity of it, then people are not going to be as intrigued to watch it.”

“The lesson is that ‘you are enough’,” he underscored. “Everything that I am is enough for any story that I am going to tell.”

Flynn also took the time to pay his respects to his late co-stars Bill Hayes and Drake Hogestyn.

‘Day of Days’ in Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater

On November 2nd, the annual “Day of Days” fan event will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, and Billy Flynn will be a part of it.

This event will help celebrate the start of the 60th season of the popular soap opera, and it will be hosted by Tony Moore, the host of “Dishin’ Days.”

“I am looking forward to hosting ‘Day of Days’ again this year,” Moore said. “I always look forward to the fans and having a day to celebrate our favorite show ‘Days of Our Lives’. Hopefully everyone can attend it.”

For the fans and supporters, Flynn expressed, “Thank you to the fans. You mean a lot to us and the show. We appreciate you; our show does not exist without you!”
