Betty White credits vodka and hot dogs as keys to her longevity

The veteran actress credits “vodka and hot dogs” as the key to longevity in her life, and she noted that they go “probably in that order.”

According to an article in Parade, Ms. White noted that for one to enjoy a healthy and happy life for over 90 years, it is essential to “enjoy life.” For the television perennial, it is also important to enhance the positives in one’s life, as opposed to the negatives.

In 2010, White was the oldest person to host Saturday Night Live, which her critical acclaim. In 2014, as Digital Journal reported, White was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. She was honored for having the longest career in television for a female entertainment in the business, which as spanned well over seven decades.

Throughout her illustrious career in the film and television industry, White has starred in such classic television shows as The Golden Girls as Rose Nylund, The Mary Tyler Moore Show as Sue Ann Nivens, and Mama’s Family as Ellen Harper Jackson, as well as on the The Carol Burnett Show, among many other popular television programs. She holds six Emmy wins to her credit, as well as a Grammy awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2015, she also earned her “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Daytime Emmys.
