Actress Raquel Welch will portray his spunky mother-in-law, Rosa. The cast of actors will also include Lilah Fitzgerald as Elisa, Audrey Smallman as Gigi, and Zenia Marie Marshall as Mirabel, all of which play his daughters. This new original series will make its premiere in June on UPtv, and production is underway in Vancouver, British Columbia. Date My Dad is created, written by and executive produced by Nina Colman.

The plot of the series deals with Ricky Cooper having the perfect life: he was a former professional baseball player, and he was married to Isabella, the love of his life. His world broke in two when his wife passed away and he was left alone to raise their three daughters. The series takes place three years later when he is raising his girls with the help of his mother-in-law, Rosa, who is living with them.
On his 40th birthday, Cooper finds out that his mother-in-law will be moving. As a result, he is left in a state of panic, since he will have to deal with make-up, to boys, to driving on his own. Cooper’s daughters have also been busy, especially since it is their goal to get their father back in the dating game. Cooper is subsequently pushed into the dating game for the first time in 20 years, all while trying to balance fatherhood.
