Backstreet Boys score No. 1 album with ‘DNA,’ top Billboard 200

This marked the group’s third career No. 1 album, and their first chart-topper since Black & Blue peaked at No. 1 for two weeks back in December of 2000. Their Millenium album also topped the Billboard charts in 1999.

DNA debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 all-genre charts, and it went on to sell 234,000 album units in America, for the week ending January 31, as indicated by Nielsen Music. 227,000 of those units were pure album sales.

The album’s lead single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” has been nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” This is the pop group’s eighth career Grammy nomination.

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, the Backstreet Boys hosted their DNA listening party at 95.5 PLJ’s Hackensack Meridian Health Stage 17 in New York.

Their latest album, DNA, is available on iTunes and on Spotify.
