On June 10, acclaimed British actress Emma Samms, MBE, participated in an in-person fan event at Rockwells in Pelham, New York.

This event was organized by Coastal Entertainment, and she was joined by an intimate group of fans. Samms shared behind-the-scenes stories about playing her popular characters Holly Sutton on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital,” and Fallon Carrington on “Dynasty” respectively.

She was also candid about her health battle with long COVID.

‘General Hospital’

She loved being back on the daytime drama, and working with such actors as Tristan Rogers, Kristina Wagner, Carolyn Hennesy, James Ryan (who was recast as her onscreen son Ethan Lovett) and Charles Shaughnessy (who early on played her cousin on “General Hospital,” before he was recast as the nefarious Victor Cassadine).

Recalling the ‘Dynasty’ virtual reunion fundraiser.

Samms noted that she was thrilled with the success of the virtual “Dynasty” Zoom, which took place in March of 2021, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of the hit primetime drama.

Over 600 participants attended via Zoom, and it raised money towards a great cause, which helps fund research on the mysterious long-term symptoms of COVID. “That Zoom was such a treat,” she admitted. “I hadn’t seen most of those actors for a long time. We were even able to bring in some surprises.”

Linda Evans

Samms complimented her fellow leading lady Linda Evans, who played Krystle Carrington in “Dynasty.” “Linda is as beautiful as it gets, really,” Samms said. “I am in awe of her beauty, kindness, and her graciousness. Linda was that character in many ways, and she still is.”

“I was so touched that Linda helped out with the fundraiser that I organized,” Samms said.

In October of 2022, Samms was featured in Maurice Benard’s MB “State of Mind” podcast on mental health, where they spoke about long COVID and mental health.

Fans

Samms expressed her gratitude to the fans that came to see her, and even took the time to answer several of their questions that they had about her in a well-received Question and Answer (Q&A) session.
