Pizzeria owner Dan Romano made the opening remarks and introduced Rosen to his intimate crowd. This event featured a neat buffet dinner which included penne alla vodka, chicken francese, eggplant rollatini, chicken parmesan and Caesar and regular salad, all of which were prepared by Romano himself.
Rosen opened his set with a cover of “Sing” by Ed Sheeran, thus showcasing his rich, falsetto voice. It was followed by his rendition of Nick Jonas’ “Chains,” where he had the audience clapping along, and he really got into the song.
He continued with his original tune “Getaway,” where he accompanied himself on keyboards. Most impressive about the song is that it was lyrically powerful, with an optimistic and inspiring message to it, and several fans were even moved to tears.
Rosen covered two songs by Justin Bieber, including “Where Are U Now” and “What Do You Mean?” It is safe to say that Rosen did them both justice. “Who says you can’t party at an Italian restaurant,” he said.
He had the fans sing-along with him on Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance.”Ya’ll with me?” he asked. “Give it up for yourselves. That was good,” he said, praising the audience for singing along.
He invited his mother to sing a special duet with him, which was a really moving performance, and he subsequently invited a female fan to sing a version of Meghan Trainor and John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.”
Acclaimed Long Island medium and psychic Janet Russell, who was present at the event, remarked, “Robbie Rosen is fabulous. His music’s intensity gets right to your soul. He is very talented. He makes Long Island proud, and his parents did a very good job raising him.”
