Alex Rose chatted about his new music, which includes his latest EP “Season 1.”

He is an internationally-charting Urbano Latino singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer from Puerto Rico

How did you approach the song selection process for your latest EP?

The focus of “Season 1” was to create a more personal project without commercial pressures.

I decided to include only two collaborations to showcase that I could carry a project on my own and give my fans the chance to re-experience the feeling they felt when I dropped “Sexflix.”

What is your personal favorite song on there and why?

All of them are my favorite but if i had to pick one I would say “Lipstick” which is the focus track of the EP.

What inspires your music and songwriting?

I get inspired by what I live though. Also from my authenticity and connection from my fans.

I prioritize quality over quantity, refusing to be pressured by the fast-paced demands of today’s music algorithms.

What do your plans for the future include?

They include to continue taking out more music for my fans to enjoy.

Were there any moments in your career that have helped define you?

Definitely, Toda Remix was a game-changer for me. That song put me on the map and opened so many doors.

Beyond that, I feel like I’ve been part of something bigger, like helping bring that Spanish-language R&B sound into the urban scene.

A lot of fans still tell me they look for that sound in my music, and that’s something I take a lot of pride in.

How does it feel to be an artist in the digital age? (Now with streaming, technology and social media being so prevalent)

The digital era has accelerated the pace of music releases, and while many artists feel pressured to constantly put out new material, I prefer to take my time to create quality music that resonates with my audience.

That’s why I prefer taking my time to take out music.

Which artists would you like to do a dream duet with someday?

I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the biggest stars such as Rauw Alejandro, Wisin & Yanel, and Emilia. Therefore now, I would love to work with the new generation of artists who are killing it.

What does the word success mean to you? (My favorite question)

To me it means having a loyal fan-base. This fan-base will support you no matter how long its been since releasing music and I think that’s beautiful. I also think success means making timeless hits.

For example Toda Remix, surpassing a billion streams, is proof that success isn’t just about numbers, but about creating songs that stand the test of time.

What would you like to say to your fans about the new EP? (What’s the one thing you want them to get out of it)

I want them to know that Alex Rose is back and that this is the continuation of “Sexflix”. More seasons are to drop soon!
