Adele’s video for ‘Hello’ is the fastest to hit one billion views

As CBS News reported, it is the fastest music video to hit one billion views on YouTube, thus beating Psy’s record for “Gangman Style.” Adele made it to one billion views in 87 days, while it took Psy 158 days to accomplish the same feature with “Gangman Style.”

“Hello” is one of only 17 videos to have reached one billion views on YouTube. These popular music videos include Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars,” LMFAO’s “Party Rock” and Sia’s “Chandelier.”

In addition, Adele’sHello” was a commercial success on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, spending 10 consecutive weeks at the top spot. It is the lead single from her critically acclaimed album, 25.
