Adele keeps breaking records with ’25,’ announces European tour

According to People Magazine, her album has sold at least 2.8 million units in a five-day period in the United States alone, and those figures include 1.45 million in digital album sales (as indicated by Nielsen Music). In Canada, the pop queen sold over 261,000 copies in over four days.

These numbers already make 25 the best-selling album of 2015, thus dethroning Taylor Swift’s 1989. Adele also set a new record, selling more albums than the boy band N*SYNC did in one week with No Strings Attached back in 2000.

At this rate, Adele could easily sell over three million units by the time the week is over, thus becoming the first artist to sell three million copies in one week.

Adele also announced her forthcoming European tour, in support of her latest album 25.
