British actor Adam Woodward chatted about starring in the new film “The Last Gunfight.”
The synopsis is: In a ruthless underground tournament, the world’s top assassins fight to the death. But hidden among them is a rogue crew with its own deadly agenda: infiltrate the competition, survive the bloodbath, and take down the mastermind pulling the strings.
As alliances shift and the bodies pile up, the real battle isn’t just for survival – it’s for revenge, and a fortune worth killing for.
Woodward on ‘The Last Gunfight’
Aside from Woodward, it stars Academy Award winner Jon Voight, Charlotte Vega, and Eloise Lovell Anderson. The movie will be available on Digital on May 27, 2025.
On being a part of the “The Last Gunfight,” Woodward exclaimed, “It was great. It was an amazing experience. I am really looking forward to seeing the full finished film, and seeing how that comes out.”

On working with Jon Voight, Woodward said, “This was the second time I worked with Jon. Not only is he an incredible actor but an incredible human being.”

On playing his character (Steve), Woodweard said, “He was chill, laid-back, but ready to kick some ass whenever it was time to. He was cool, and it was a little different than the last character I played. Steve is a little bit slicker.”

On the lessons learned from this film, he revealed, “Steve taught me that I can be laid back and still kick some ass.”

On being a part of the digital age, Woodward said, “It feels different. I wasn’t an actor in the pre-digital age, so I have nothing to compare it to. I don’t mind it. The digital age has its drawbacks, but it has its benefits as well.”
“I did a longstanding drama in the UK called ‘Hollyoaks’ and I won ‘Best Actor’ at the Inside Soap Awards and ‘Best Dramatic Performance’ at the British Soap Awards in two different categories, and for me, that was a sign that I am doing the right thing, and that I am meant to be here,” he elaborated.
Advice for young and emerging actors
For young and aspiring actors, he said with a sweet laugh, “Run.”
“You must love it if you want to do this. Don’t do it for the wrong reasons such as attention and fame; if those things come, then amazing,” he clarified.
“If you can get paid for doing what you love, that is one of the best things in the world. If you love to do it and you are not attached to the end result, then keep doing it and keep pushing forward,” he elaborated.
“If you love it, then you will work hard, you will get better ,and people will recognize you,” he added.

Regarding his definition of the word success, Woodward said, “I don’t really judge monetary gain as being successful.”
“If you are lucky enough to live and survive doing the things that you love to do, and you have a group of close friends around you that love and support you, then I think you are more successful than 99 percent of the people who live on the planet. I feel I am pretty successful,” he elaborated.
